Don't Be Afraid Of Gefilte Fish

They say that Judaism is about food and the Exodus from Egypt. Anyone who celebrates Jewish holidays or has experienced one will confirm this. However, a number of Ashkenazi recipes seem very complicated and unless you learn them at home from your grandmother, you often don't dare to try them.

Don't De Afraid Of Gefilte Fish presents a selection of Jewish recipes tested by the Chef and founder of the Galetka pancake house, Andrea Ernyei, who explains in a comprehensible way to everyone how to prepare these delicacies at home easily. In addition to gefilte fish, in the book you will find recipes for example for challah, cholent, latkes and other iconic dishes. We didn't just stay with Ashkenazi cuisine and we added several Sephardic and Mediterranean recipes such as hummus, babaganoush or tabboulleh.

This cookbook also reflects current trends and offers vegetarian alternatives to traditional dishes. The role played by food in Judaism is also reflected in the symbolism of the dishes that are eaten on individual holidays, and the book thus also becomes a culinary guide to the Jewish year.
